American society has become anti-male. Men are sensing the backlash and are consciously and unconsciously going “on strike.” They are dropping out of college, leaving the workforce and avoiding marriage and fatherhood at alarming rates. The trend is so pronounced that a number of books have been written about this “man-child” phenomenon, concluding that men have taken a vacation from responsibility simply because they can. But why should men participate in a system that seems to be increasingly stacked against them?

As Men on Strike demonstrates, men aren’t dropping out because they are stuck in arrested development. They are instead acting rationally in response to the lack of incentives society offers them to be responsible fathers, husbands and providers. In addition, men are going on strike, either consciously or unconsciously, because they do not want to be injured by the myriad of laws, attitudes and hostility against them for the crime of happening to be male in the twenty-first century. Men are starting to fight back against the backlash. Men on Strike explains their battle cry.

Excellent read. Why are men on strike? Because they are now second class human beings. The source of little but hate, and witness to endless humiliation. Blamed on all violence and most of societies/planets ills (Proven to be completely untrue) Stripped of any rights to do anything other than to work is sexual stereotypical dirty dangerous jobs or 'feminised' emasculating jobs that females don't currently want or to face unemployment and 'dead beat' status. Forced into marriage where they are 'stupid children' with no rights to their own children, home or income if they are put through a divorce. Why are men striking - for the game is so corrupt and unfair they just no longer want to play and see work, romance, marriage and children as a risk so great they just opt out of the system. The question - why are their no good men left anymore - is roundly answered with - because no females currently deserve one. This book is about equality and not some twisted sexist female sows version of it. Proper equality where males and females are - as best as they can be - equal. Well written and researched and jaw dropingly obvious. great read.

The main draw to this book was the fact that it's written by a woman. An intelligent, articulate, informed woman, and arguably the best person to see just how skewiff the whole equality thing has become. Men bemoaning men's problem's is sadly never going to be noticed – a request for a Minister for Men was recently laughed out of the UK parliament – so women becoming switched-on to real gender equality, not female privilege at the expense of men, is the way forward. I just wish this book was at the top of the sales charts, instead of some dopey Z-list celebrity biography.I'd highly recommend Men On Strike to anyone looking for clarity on any aspect of equality today. Men and women. For any man recovering from separation, divorce, an abusive relationship etc. it's essential reading. Buy it now, and when you've read it, pass it on.PS. Check out Helen Smith on YouTube too. You won't be disappointed.

A well-written, depressing account of how bad things are for men, both legally and socially. I hope that this will encourage more people to red pill themselves, and see feminism for the poison that it is.

Smith offers a useful contribution to the gender-equality debate. It’s a straightforward read and so particularly suitable for anyone who is addressing issues of misandry for the first time. Although the book doesn’t attempt the historical context of a book like Creveld’s ‘The Privileged Sex’ or the political breadth of a book like JP Tate’s ‘Feminism is Sexism’, it is helpful to have an accessible (and well-publicised) book like ‘Men on Strike’ in the growing body of work on misandry and gender-equality. Certainly recommended.

Excellent book I've been "on strike" for more years than I care to remember. What investor would buy into something that they know thery're going to lose out on? Is marriage celebrated? No! Is fatherhood respected? No, it isn't! Guys know this and, as a workforce, they've staged a walkout. And about time too!!

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I've been saying this for years and finally a book that has the same views as I had. Obviously Helen Smith takes this to a whole new level!!
